Chocolate Verdigris 2" Copper Cuff Bracelet

Fold forming builds up lines and zones of hardness with repeated cycles of heating, folding and hammering and the patterns produced have a distinctly organic, elemental look.  

Patinas are natural surface changes on metal that are produced in nature by long exposure to the elements,  We don't have that long so I develop patinas with common materials whenever possible, in this case household ammonia mixed with table salt. Normally that produces a green patina, but extra long exposure created this lovely chocolate color with verdigris highlights along the folds.

Use a tape measure or a string and ruler.  Measure around your wrist below the wrist bone.  Hold the tape or string so it is comfortably snug, neither tight nor loose. Select Size to Fit on this page and enter the measurement where requested.

As long as the sealant coating is intact this bracelet will not tarnish or change color, so clean it gently with ordinary soap and water if cleaning is needed. Do not polish vigorously or use copper or brass cleaners; they are unnecessary and can damage and dull the sealer. Do not clean ultrasonically; ultrasound can cause the sealant coat to separate from the bracelet.  Avoid contact with solvents like nail polish, polish remover and petroleum products.

Your bracelet is wrist shaped--a flattened oval--but it may not be exactly your wrist shape.  If you want to adjust the fit do it slowly and gently, with both hands wrapped around the bracelet to support it from all sides.  Shape it a little at a time instead of in one big push that might crease the metal.
